Meet The Team

All the staff at Nozawa Physio are highly professional and fully committed to our patients’ health. We actively keep up to date with the latest in injury management techniques to ensure that your experience with us is smooth and seamless, from first contact to last appointment. Our therapists are all highly trained and experienced, with degrees in physiotherapy from leading universities in the field. We practice an Australian style of physiotherapy.

Bevan Colless

Bevan has a degree in Sports Science from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from the University of Sydney. Having worked for over a decade in our ski-resort clinics, he has a special interest in acute knee injuries. Bevan lectures around Asia to physiotherapists and runners, focusing on the latest developments in running injuries, snow-sports injuries, cycling injuries and bike fitting. He is a certified Running Injury Specialist by The Running Clinic and also a F.I.S.T. certified bike fitter. Having completed more than 15 Ironman distance triathlons he is also a certified Level 1 Triathlon Coach by Triathlon Australia.

Vanessa Colless

Vanessa has a degree in Medical Science and Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney. As co-founder of Asia Physio she has worked in Japan and Singapore for over 17 years, earning her excellent reputation as an accomplished physiotherapist. She is experienced in all areas of women’s health and also performs running biomechanical assessments.

Christine Elkin

Christine is in her second season with Asia Physio and works as a physiotherapist and a sports massage therapist. She is a competitive strength athlete and keen snowboarder.

Dominique Tulett

Dominque is a physiotherapist who has been working in a clinic in Perth Australia for the last 7years. She teaches Pilates an does dry needling, and is well versed with manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation.

Matthew Matson

Matthew is an Australian physiotherapist from Sydney. He has been working at 4D Health and Performance in Sydney before moving to Japan and also been physio for the NSW 7s Rugby program. He is a highlevel rugby and cricketer and now a very keen skier.

Rikki Latta

Rikki is a very experienced massage therapist having worked full time at a Luxury Spa in Broome in West Australia and also in Nozawa Physio.

Yvette Roberts

Yvette Roberts is in her second season with Asia Physio and is now the manager in Nozawa. Yvette has lived in Japan for several years, having previously worked at the Australian Embassy and on the Rugby World Cup organizing committee.
